I just hit them them from a different angle which I hope they won't expect..I found a feedback section and...MAN!...did I give them some feedback! I highly recommend it! I'm getting so sick of this crap!  MU getting a screw job every time we turn around! We hear all the time what a JOKE this conference is! Today they proved it! Wonder if Headquarters being in Texas helped play apart even if the game is in Houston not Dallas? Probably some Rice alums involved in this decision! This whole thing smells fishy! What an injustice! Thanks for the screw job Commisioner!

Rice has been play football in Houston since 1950...They own a stadium in the city of Houston...I hope you didn't act without class as a representative of Marshall?  If you did, will you please go remove your comments?

We are slowly finding out that much of these things we are upset about are correct and we weren't aware....

It would mean a lot to much of our fanbase.

To me there is only one thing I need to be upset about. Tiebreaker 3 (the last one) says "BCS ranking". That two-word phrase is verbatim from the C-USA website. Which is more truly the "BCS ranking" - what is on CBS Sportsline (I assume they actually got their data from the BCS), or whatever hieroglyphics Jerry Palm drew up this evening on the back of a napkin?

Please note that rankings like Jerry Palm's, do not factor any computer poll values for teams not receiving votes and therefore are not reliable for this purpose. The Conference has been in contact with Jerry who fully agrees with this analysis.

"I worked with C-USA today on an extended BCS formula for breaking the tie between Marshall and Rice for home field advantage in the conference championship game," said Palm. "It doesn't match the formula I use for my ratings on CBSSports.com, which serve a different purpose, but I believe it was absolutely appropriate and fair."

Well, first we thought we had some massey numbers wrong...then we find out that there are two sets of massey numbers....

Then I talked to a guy on the phone that explained that the C-USA office made these agreements prior any of this and the ADs were made aware...

There might be a mistake, but either way no need to be trashy or nasty...Just look at the situation and control our emotions...vent on this website, if you need....but, no need to go out on the C-USA website and lose control...

First of all Johnnyherd I didn't know you were the spokesperson for OUR fanbase. Secondly, I know they are from Houston and own and play their games in their own stadium there. Thirdly, I did not act "without class"...not that I need your approval or lessons on how to be classy or act with class! I simply said my peace about how I felt and I did so in a civil manner without any cursing etc...! And lastly, "NO" I won't go remove my comments!

No, we are upset for good reason and the reason isn't false.  Marshall finished 29 in one and 30 something in the other poll.  We weren't that far behind Rice in the computer average.  Rice didn't place at all in the polls so whatever idiotic formula they came up with is severely flawed.  It is total crap.  The math isn't being argued, it is their stupid formula.

Funny thing is, if rice got 1 vote in each, then the bcs comes into play as is and we end up higher anyway from being ahead in 2/3 of the formula. They shpuldbhave used the bcs rankings period. They would have had marshall not gotten votes and had a lower bcs ranking. We got a ton of votes and they got pissed so they found a way to negate those votes

I would prefer you go back, edit it, and act in an uncivil manner.  If this new formula was approved before the situation arose, a press release should have been out from C-USA making the public aware of it.  As the students chant:  BU//%^&*!!
