  • Nice stadium, but no one shows up. Every game I've watched of Rice this year there weren't more than 10,000 in the stands... if that much. Will look like crap on tv.

  • Once upon a time there was a Super Bowl played in that stadium. In the early days of course.

  • you can take the oldest, crappiest stadium in the country and fill it up with fans and it will look great...you can have the newest, nicest stadium in the country empty and it will look awful.

  • The guys can't worry about the stadium or who is in it. They need to take care of business on the field and all will be fine. Same field size as the Joan - ala. Hoosiers.

  • the problem is sv we play like %^&* in front of 1200 people.  we should all be concerned and more than pissed how this has played out.  Playing at Rice is going to be a huge challenge for us.

I know we do Wolf. The only thing the guys can control is what they do on the field. If they can't get up for a conference championship game and are going to mope around because its not in Huntington, then they should not even go down to Houston. Hell, they should be fired up to prove they are the best and get that ring, regardless if they are playing in Houston or a cow pasture in Mason Co.

This is a strictly mental road block. They need to play ball. The coaches are paid to prepare them and motivate them. Rice will be a very stiff challenge but I think we are the better team and have more talent; but as we know, that doesn't always win games.
Like ECU, play at a high level and no turnovers = we win.

The band and prolly 500 Herd fans should be there. Hopefully that will help.
