  • Both teams four games under .500...for my Indians, it's the fact the they mostly decided to "stand pat" with last year's overachievers...they've been below average in all areas, but their salvation is a great manager who mixes and matches well...so...what about the Reds whom everybody else loves???...it just show how the loss of a closer throws the staff and everything else off kilter...I know, injuries have been a factor, but that happens to everybody...all I know is that Bryan Price shouldn't get too comfortable...a relative unknown like him becomes an easy target...

  • Chapman and Latos alone are more serious losses than most teams experience starting out not to mention Broxton, Votto, Bruce, Mesoracco. But the honest truth is the Reds are a very poor hitting club when compared to the National League Central. It will be their undoing.

  • Exactly.  The Reds leave way too many runners on base.

They have built a team based on solid pitching and defense, but aside from all of the injuries, their bullpen isn't that good so far this year, and while they impress with their defense, you have to score many runs to win; they can't hold a one or two run lead in the late innings the way the relievers are performing.

But it is early, they are not that far back, and they have time to turn it around; yes, hope springs eternal.
"On rainy days, the early justices would enliven case conferences with wine. On other days, even if the sun was shining, Chief Justice John Marshall would order wine anyway, saying, 'Our jurisdiction is so vast that it must be raining somewhere.' "
