No 4 year contract. As posted on another thread by Pokey, this is a State Job and by law the job has to be posted and people interviewed. The state only makes 1 year contracts.
Tito's credibility rating is pretty high around here, GB, and for good reason. He was golden during recruiting season with practically every scoop, with his only missed call I'm aware of (McClellan) being one that even fooled the Marshall coaches themselves.
We all know what the rules are, but we also know what the realities are.
Pruett himself was only on so-called "one-year contracts," but only in technical terms.
And as I'm sitting here, I know intimately of several situations including my own where a university has to advertise a position, but knows exactly who they're going to hire regardless.
If nothin else, I think one has to admit... there's not much reason for optimism that Tito is wrong... and no one -- Farrell or Marcum -- has said anything that thoroughly establishes that there will be a real search.
