  • Downside is that it looks like we're starting to see some of the separation between AAC/MWC and the rest of the Go5 conferences... they're coming in at about a 64 rating, and ideally, you'd like to see a repeat of 2012 when all of the conferences were essentially within 2 points of each other (and when NIU enjoyed its MAC Championship bounce in route to its Orange Bowl trip).

Upside is that it looks like we're (CUSA) getting clear separation from the MAC, mostly because the MAC East is just absolutely woeful this year (... and unfortunately enough for us, of course, we got 3 games against that group that figure into how we're assessed).

And another seeming upside is that CUSA East is doing better overall than CUSA West... but it's a false one from where we sit, because when you take out Marshall's contribution to that rating, you're left with 59.34, slightly less than CUSA West's 59.97.
