Unless I have missed my guess, the great majority of the decisions made at Marshall University are controlled by a group of people who could fit into my office...that is a couple of administrators and a handful of money folks who have been very generous and good stewards. It's probably not that uncommon, but I think it may not be healthy for the long-term vitaility of the university. The thing I've seen that I don't care for is that time after time there have been safe harbors created for people whom the Powers that Be decide should stay around after one transgretion or another...and sometimes good people are swept out of the way to allow that to happen. Bottom lining it, I'm a Marshall fan, I'll always be a Marshall fan, however how things transpire with the program can't help but influence how much money, time and passion I sink into it. For me, that translates to success on the football field. Don't care how it happens, just that it does and that we run a clean program. If we can't do those things, I'll still buy season tix, but I probably won't try so hard to make it to road games and home games that are difficult on my schedule.
