Miami: Despite stating earlier that he planned to accept Kirby Smart’s offer to keep him at Georgia, the AJC is reporting that Mark Richt has convinced running backs coach Thomas Brown to come to Miami instead. Per the AJC, Richt’s offer might include co-offensive coordinator title (note: Richt is strongly considering calling the offense himself at Miami). Marc Weiszer adds that Todd Hartley (who served in a support staff role at UGA and coached at Marshall prior to that) will coach a position and serve as special teams coordinator on Richt’s staff.
