I think some people are confusing big with good. Their offensive line is big, but it is not good. They only average 3.37 yards per carry, that's horrible. Our line had a rough year and we averaged 4.45. They gave up 35 sacks on 325 pass attempts, a sack on every 9.5 attempts. Marshall gave up 20 sacks on 435 attempts, a sack every 22 attempts. We gave up 63 TFL, they gave up 91 and we ran a lot more plays than they did.
On defense, we generated 28 sacks. They had 20. We had 82 TFL, they had 66. They gave up 4.46 ypc, we gave up 4.00 ypc.
How anyone can look at the numbers and say they have a decided advantage in the trenches seems a little odd unless you just look at size. They are not an athletic team.
