  • It seems to me that the Marshall community has the best group of leaders since I started following in 98.  Steve Williams, Mark Hamrick, Doc Holliday, Gary White, and so far as I can tell Dantoni and on paper Gilbert.  All have been able to execute in their roles.  The governor is a MU grad, as are several other influential state leaders.

Night and day difference compared to Angel, Jean Dean/Fellington, and of course Marcum.
    Note: I'm not Eric Pinkerton.

  • Have to throw Dr. Kopp in there also.  A lot of our current progress/momentum started with him.  He told Mike to lead and develop a plan for athletics and he would support him.  Then, Dr. K. did the same on the academic side.  His contributions can't be minimized!!

  • Jean Dean was certainly not bad for Marshall.  Don't know where that comes from.  I like the current group as well but the real change is the mayor.  Foolington was a complete Maroon.
