  • No doubt, Marshall would have been called for a walk on that last shot.

  • played with heart more than head.  got to beat USM.  don't understand the bad passing/decision making and getting yourself stuck on the on sideline when the game is in the final minutes/seconds.  coaches had no answers on defense to stop all the drives to the hoop.  you'd think Taylor would get a little better on D(feet) this time of year...he was needed...felt bad for him.

  • Hate that I can't watch the game.  No ASN in Columbus, GA.  Was at the UAB game last Thursday, kids played great, Kelly was a little off but learned he had some stomach issues.  It was a totally different team at MTSU.  Nothing clicked.  MTSU was prepared for some of our lob plays.  The players couldn't hang on to the ball.  Hope they can get their focus back.  Most times they are fun to watch.  Go Herd!!  Love you boys!!

Realistically the D'antoni's are outstanding coaches on the offensive side of the court, Coack K says Mike is the finest offensive mind in the game, high praise indeed. On the flip side the strategy appears to be to try and out score your opponent, an oversimplification for sure, but that leaves little room for a bad night shooting the basketball. At some point you need to get stops and it is difficult to shore up the defense when that is not your strength.

  • preface: we are not a great defensive team, or even good for that matter.

now, i'm not holding my breath, but maybe one day people will understand our system, stats, etc. in conference games we have the 8th best defensive field goal percentage. the reason we give up 90 points, whatever, is because we play at such a fast tempo.
