  • One of the things that I've been doing in my retirement is tracing my roots as an adoptee...when I was looking for my birth certificate so that I could get a passport, I found some documents that indicated that my real given last name is Dadisman...I'd learned at one point that my mother was a college student from Charleston, so upon searching that name I found out that it is quite common in Kanawha County...so factor in the percentage of Mountaineer supporters in the area--along with the fact that there is actually a DADISMAN HALL at WVU--and it figures that I've got a Poutie heritage... ??? ??? ???...

  • It's OK man...we will get through this together.  In all seriousness it is pretty cool how you were able to find out what you did about your history.

  • The only thing that matters is you were able to trace your history.

  • Have you ever had the urge to burn a couch, but didn't know why?  If so, that would explain it. LOL

  • My wife lived in Dadisman Hall as a freshman. It was the honors dorms back when she was a freshman in 2002. I'm not sure if it still is or not, but it was a craphole back then. They made the smart kids live in the oldest, nastiest dorms on campus. Never made sense.

  • Well my dad and an uncle went there. But that is OK because there is no blew or yeller in my genes. My dad has passed on but somehow I keep getting their alumni magazine.  :-[
LMAO on Muther's Ancestry pie chart.

Might want to keep a copy or two of that alumni mag handy in case of an emergency, like lack of available toilet paper!! >:(

I don't know. Having something like that in the house would make me feel dirtier than not having toilet paper.
