  • Worst thing teams do, IMO, is to give the EERS too much time to set up their press, with all their players in place and in the faces of the O players.  Danny needs to tell our players that as soon as they make a basket, the closest Herd player to the goal needs to Immediately inbounds the ball to the first open Herd player.  All of our players need to be cognizant of that and quickly be ready to receive the ball!!  Then whichever Herd player gets the inbounds pass can either start up the floor or get the ball to Jarrod, or Jon on the second pass.

We have enough decent ball handlers.  Don't need to mill around 4 or 5 seconds allowing them to set up the press!!!

  • IF the layups are made, a better percentage of the spot up wide open 3's are hit AND the ref's call fouls for eers grabbing the jerseys of cutters. Against Murray, everyone who cuts or moves around any pick gets held.

DD needs to address the ref's crew before the game about the tactic.

Good points... I'll add this, unlike most of their opponents, the Herd always has 4 players on the floor who can break pressure on the dribble.
