EMU asks UK to buy out their home game with them for 2019.

The Kentucky Wildcats were originally scheduled to visit Eastern Michigan next season as part of a home-and-home series with the Eagles.

What Kentucky was doing scheduling a home-and-home with EMU is a fair question, but now it appears the game will be held in Lexington, as will the 2020 game.

Per Matt Jones of Kentucky Sports Radio, Kentucky has bought out that game (at the request of EMU, it’s worth noting) and will instead bring the contest to Lexington:

UK at home last yr beat EMU by 4. They also beat South Carolina who beat LT 17-16.

EMU's football stadium is less than 7 miles from the U of Michigan football stadium. I always wonder why EMU ever had a football program.

Their field is painted grey....on tv looks like you are watching a game in part color and part black/white.  I don't blame them for selling it.  they will make more money that way.

Yep, got to believe that EMU's AD crunched the numbers and found out that EVEN IF both of their season ticket holders showed up for the UK game, that they still could not pay the Wildcats their guaranteed fee to appear in Ypsilanti!!!

So they begged UK to move the game to Lexington!
