  • Litton passed the eye test with his stats, and if we had Litton this season, its very possible we are undefeated and ranked, given our receivers being open vs NC State all game but unable to connect. He had issues, but he is easily one of the best QBs we've had, in the top 5-6.

Thomson, is not very good. That was proven, clearly, whether it is due to injury or not is unknown. Green is not very good either. Neither QB will provide us a shot at being cusa champs in the future here, we are going to be decimated by graduation this season.

You are assuming Litton would have been present for all the games this year.  Sure he showed up at the stadiums in 2017, but 2016 wasn't that long ago.

  • How many 4th q come from behind wins did Litton have?
How many wins did Litton have trailing at halftime?
How many win did Litton have trailing at all in the 2nd half?
How many wins did Litton have when Marshall did not score first?

Like to find out the same for Cato too.

Green could end up a very good 4th q qb.  That wins a lot of games.

Well considering Doc has won like 3 games ever when he was trailing at halftime, I doubt Litton had more than 1 or 2.

  • Green

    Record as starter - 6-1
Passing efficiency - 128.41 (140 over the last three games)
    Yards per completion - 13.85
    Yards per game - 263
    Completion % - 55%
    TDs/INT - 12-7

    Thomson

    Record as starter - 2-2
    Passing efficiency - 106.00 (last game 54.17)
    Yards per completion - 9.457
    Yards per game - 127
    Completion % - 53%
    TDs/INT - 5/3

If Green is garbage, what exactly is Thomson?  And as far as helping the running game, he had King as RB1 in his 4 starts, Green had him as RB1 in none of his.

    Ok, Litton FR year

    Record as starter - 9-2
    Passing efficiency - 132.83
    Yards per completion - 11.326
    Yards per game - 236
    Completion % - 60.1
    TDs/INT - 23-8

The only thing better than Green was the TD ratio. The bad thing was that Litton's freshman year was better statistically than his junior year. He didn't get better, he got worse.  His record was worse, his efficiency rating was worse, his completion percentage was worse and his TD ratio fell to 25/14. There's no guarantee we would have done any better with Litton this year because he didn't show any ability to get better while here. At least we don't know if Green has upside or not, with Litton he proved he didn't.

Green threw for more yards per game this year than Litton did in any of his three.  He also averaged more yards per completion than Litton ever did (because Litton always overthrew the deep ball, what you accuse Green of being bad at).  Litton's efficiency rating his best year was 137.  Anything under 140 just isn't good, especially for a 3 year starter.

Litton was a cancer on this program and was a huge cause of the 2016 debacle.

  • I would be very happy with 10 win season and was greatly disappointed by our three losses.
But to not support our team is unjustified.  Why do you think a better conference will be interested with less attendance?  Your logic escapes me.

Attendance is one of our strengths and to make it a weakness escapes me as being a solution to our perceived problems.
