Topic: 2 embarrassing

losses in 9 days:
At Maryland on Nov 23
At Va Tech today

and now, another laid egg by the BB team in Athens today.

Maryland and OU were a lot more embarrassing to me than at VaTech.  At least the football team does play as a team, not a bunch of individuals.  And they also play their axxes off on both defense and offense, which is quite different that the basketball team.  This basketball team has some problems that talent won't cure. Reminds me of the football team three years ago.

I have noticed the lack of team play as well. There is lots of blame to go around, but early in the year I saw our guards throwing up shot after shot often contested with Williams standing wide open time after time. I told my brother the guards never saw a shot they did not like, to many press clippings? Maybe.

I personally think football and basketball are playing horrible right now. This was a really bad VT team. We are playing them because they only had 5 wins and got hammered by mighty ODU that threw for 500 yards against them with a QB playing his first game. VT is a bad football team and the worst team they have had in 25+ years. And right now our basketball team is playing some really bad basketball. What a day. Football and basketball gets hammered and SV also!!!!

Herdorbust, our football secondary made Tech's so-so QB look like Tom Brady yesterday with their half assed, out of position coverage, giving up 4 long tds in the first half alone.  Yet all season long people have question how we cover in the secondary, why we never make plays on the ball against opponents' passes, or are not in position to do so.  Yet despite all such observations by "fans" on sites like this, its amazing that our coaches either did not think we had such problems, or didn't take any steps to try and correct the problems.  Amazing!!
