I think we will be more than we have for many years. Imo Doc probably knows the defense wont be as strong and we lost williams and brady at wr.

  • Look at the Roster objectively.  There are only 2 DLs listed over 280 lbs and neither has much experience.  History will tell you that Marshall NEVER has a great team when we are light and not deep at DT.  Can have a winning season, but nothing special.  That's just the way it looks to be shaping up.

  • Much more concerned about WR than DL and if not for the running game late last yr would look for D to carry us again.

  • I still think the biggest need is at WR.  We need a couple that can get consistent separation.  Our running game should be good, and if we can get some separation with our receivers our offense could possibly be very good.

  • WIde Receiver core may be best overall to spread the ball around to in a long time; these on spring roster plus newcomers in August. I'm excited about the passing game, everyone will have to be covered by the defense and Obi (albeit not as fast) is one very good, very, very good receiver at 6'3", 2xx..  Speed to burn in the middle and across the middle; finally healthy and needed.

Where is our speed to burn?  I don’t see speed anywhere.  I’ve been waiting a long time for it.

And he’s not even close to that now.  Hs time of 4.31. Bunch of guys timing who have no clue how to really time it.  Willie Johnson might be 4.4 high but my guess watching him play he’s 4.5.

  • Let us see what the 40 times for a couple WR in the past had......Michael Irvin 4.52,  Terrell Owns 4.45, and the great Jerry Rice 4.71.......

  • How many red shirts, transfers, grey shirts, etc., made it through the first semester to spring drills?

Hope the Jucos mentioned finish up their semesters at their respective schools  and are all eligible at the start of fall practice.

Hopefully, Doc has a scholarship or two in his pocket and can pick up a late transfer, grad transfer, etc., later this spring or in the summer!!  I note there were several non senior departures from last fall so he probably has some scholarships available.
