  • You are a laugh. Pretty much the same? 6 championship games and FIVE conference titles to one!!! And 2 heisman finalists. Just stop before you dig any deeper. And Pruett NEVER had a cluster 3-9 season where he got humiliated on his home field 3 or 4 times in one year.

No Mr. Herdobust.  YOU are most definitely a laugh. LOOK AT THE RECORDS OF THOSE TEAMS THAT WE BEAT. THOSE TEAMS WERE EVEN BIGGER JOKES THAN WE PLAY NOW. You are already on the internet. You can look up the teams we played. None of them were any good.

Pruett lost to 5-6 Bowling Green in 1998.

Pruett lost to 4-8 Akron in 2002.

Pruett lost to 6-6 Troy in 2003

Herdobust, how old are you?  That Alzheimer's disease is starting to hit your brain isn't it?

Marshall lost to Troy AT THE JOAN when Bobby Pruett was our coach! TROY!
     https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2004_Troy_State_Trojans_football_team

We lost to AKRON in 2004. An Akron team that finished 6-5

Apart from Kansas St. Pruett beat NOBODY! Yet old timers talk about Marshall's "Glory Years." What "Glory Years!" "Glory years" where we only beat one decent team? Come on man! Stop being pretenders.

  • Demarcus Ware won the Troy Game.  Don’t believe Holliday teams have faced a player like that.  Josh davis lost the Akron game.  No question about that. Dropped 2-3 tds and about 200 yards. Would have been easy.  Akron also had yes an nfl qb.  Very unlike the recent Akron QBs.  Pruett lost a couple bad ones but not many at all so it’s difficult to remember.  Holliday on the other hand loses a lot I can’t forget.  I would say Pruetts conference winning percentage is much higher.  And I would say the Macs top teams then are far superior to Cusa now.  But I do think catos senior team could play Pruetts 99 team very tough.  But I’ll take the 99 team bc once again NFL talent and lots of it.

    Pruett 5 > Doc 1

You realize that had we stayed at the 1-AA level we'd have 15+ National Championship trophy's by now.  But no, we moved "up" to the Detroit Motor City Bowl. You know, Ohio State is not a difficult school to get into. Nor is Kentucky. So why did some of you people choose to go to Marshall? You chose a team that will always be an underdog. That is part of the reason why I love Marshall. I can't understand some of you people, always complaining.  If the athletic programs of the University you chose were so important to you,  I don't know why you chose Marshall. The vast majority of you could also have gotten into Ohio St. or Kentucky. You could be like my friends, football season you like Ohio St. Basketball season you like Kentucky. And you can just relax, you will always have a team that will, eventually, win a National Championship. But no, you picked Marshall. Yet you complain about Marshall's lot in life and do this "We were Boise before there was a Boise." I swear to God, I'd seriously cut off all the fingers of my right hand if it would mean we'd beat Boise this year. But, I doubt it will happen. But, I'm so glad I'm not a fan of any other team other than Marshall. All you people do is, "Oh, when Bobby Pruett was coach things were so glorious." No they weren't at all. Look at the records of who we played. We never beat anybody decent except for Kansas St.

  • Lol!!! Im not complaing. Im just stating facts unlike you. You want to tear down the pruett years and act like we are living the glory years now. Im just stating we had more accomplishments back then. 5 championships and 6 title games in a row. 2 heisman finalists and beat a #6 ranked team on the road. And put many more players in the nfl.  That is all im doing.
