Has DD come close to dismissing anyone from the team (except when he first came)?

I dont believe so. He cleaned house when he got here . I know he recruits character also but its bound to happen sooner or later , they are still just big kids.

Nothing is guaranteed. But DD really goes after quality kids. He will not put up with crap and said he also will not baby sit them. I questioned him sending canty, thomas, goard away because i knew they were talented. But Danny knew long term you have to get rid of those kids and establish a culture. He knew those kids would rub off on others and destroy what he was trying to create. He took his lumps but has now got the ball rolling. Phase 3 just now starting. Phase 1 was cleaning house. Phase 2 was jon and cj and that group. Phase 3 is way ahead of where phase 2 even started and they are young and talented. Going to be fun the next few years.

I imagine Danny D. has "encouraged" some players to leave.  Not based on "disciplinary" issues, but by being frank on their potential chances for playing time, etc.  See Allison (sp.), Dozic, Koljanin, etc.  I imagine a scholarship player or two on this year's squad may get the same "encouragement", or at least "see the light" on their own, depending on how this season plays out and on Danny's "recruiting" in the upcoming signing periods!!

I don't get where you think Herd fans hate Doc. I know, I don't! I'm very critical of Doc and not being able to get us relevant again. That doesn't mean, we hate our coach. In fact, I cheered very hard Friday hoping we would win against Boise. That's a game we let slip away. Doc is a decent coach, he's just not a great head coach.

Spot on, common sense assessment E.  A lot of us, me included, make statements, posts, etc., often when we are still emotional and fired up.  Bottom line is we all need to pull for all Herd teams, opinions as to individual coaches aside.  Frankly, we have a small fan base overall in the world of D1 athletics and in fighting factions do little good for MU athletics overall!

A lot of what MU does Saturday will depend on how healthy we'll be overall, especially in our receiving corps.  Hopefully, Obialo (sp.) will be able to play some, at least.  Our receivers as a whole need to get better separation, and O line blocking needs to do better than against Boise, at least in the second half.  Being able to hit a few passes should aid our rushing attack, and I believe we should be able to run effectively against OU.

Not sure why we are having this discussion.   MBB is a different game.  They can cut kids in the Spring.  Danny has had plenty of attrition:  Bledsoe, Penava, Nicolic, Thompson, Allison, Kilgore, Dolzic, Frampton, Jay Johnson,  Bowling, Boykins, and Manning.  I am against comparing the programs.  They are both Marshall programs.  This Tribalism is silly.
