  • I am going to cut and paste the below quote form Facebook. It is about the expansion of Fairfield after MU got ejected from the MAC.  I believe Arch Moore, Governor of WV at the time, came up for the money for the expansion and rebuilding of Fairfield. The expansion was before the Plane Crash.

"Before any rebuilding of the stadium was to be done sub surface drilling to determine if ground conditions would be competent enough to excavate and how deep and determine the correct soil conditions. Our Company BH Mott & Sons/ Mott Core Drilling performed these soil Boeing’s and engineering report was good our invoice was MARKED PAID IN FULL, and sent to Marshall, I have the letter thanking my father for this will post a copy tomorrow."

Shout out to Eddie Mott for the above post.

  • Mott Drilling was located on 8th Ave and 8th Street along the CSX railroad tracks. The next time I am Huntington I am going to check out the area.
