Topic: 24 hours from opening game day.....

And nary a mere hint of the game on the first page of the main board.  Not sure if it’s because of Covid, the opponent, or the lingering case of Doc-itis that is attributing to the lack of interest.  Maybe all 3.  But, as much as John Holliday is a fun killer, I’m excited to get another season going.  Here are the 3 things I’m most interested in looking for:

(1). Does Grant Wells show that potential “It” factor both as a field general and as a player.  I’m not expecting 35 passes from him but I am anxious to check him out.   I’ve never had less of an impression of an opening day QB with the lack of practice reporting.
(2).  I want to check out our linebackers.  Outside of Beckett, many are relative newcomers to the herd.  Anxious to see the Juco transfer and the FCS transfer from Delaware St.
(3).  The secondary should be a positive.  Looking for an all conference season from Derek Pitts.
