  • Has anyone on here ever visited the NUKEMAP SITE? This is a very interesting nuclear bomb site that gives details of an eerie nuclear explosion. You can navigate to build your own bomb and see the massive destruction. I just hope and pray there's never a nuclear war.

  • I’ve heard that Huntington was considered a target during WW2 because of the steel plant now known as Special Metals and other things. I wonder if it still would be today?

I had heard that also . I wouldnt think it would still be today , just my opinion.  I would also think if we were attacked , it would be a massive EMP  weapon , then the enemies troops would come in. I have read that an EMP would be more overall devatating than a nuclear attack , dont know it its true or not .

  • Special Metals used to be INCO,  International Nickel Company or the Nickel Plant as it was called around here. Nickel alloys were important to the war effort including developing atomic weapons. The Tri-State would have been a major target.

  • I've gone to that site or something similar to it and set off a 20 megaton hydrogen bomb over Mountaineer Field.
"On rainy days, the early justices would enliven case conferences with wine. On other days, even if the sun was shining, Chief Justice John Marshall would order wine anyway, saying, 'Our jurisdiction is so vast that it must be raining somewhere.' "
