  • Good afternoon and happy game week!

We are officially 3 days away from the Herd’s season opener, and who isn’t ready for some football?

Due to a heavy call volume in the office, we ask that you all remain patient with us. If you are unable to get through, please leave a message and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

In the meantime, we will answer some of the most common questions we’ve received regarding digital ticketing and other gameday procedures.

    •   All season ticket holders should have received an email Monday evening linking to their tickets.

    •   If you need to transfer a ticket to someone, the simplest way to do so is by screenshotting the ticket and sending it through text.

    •   If you are having trouble with the email on your phone or simply do not have email on your phone, there will be a Mobile Ticketing/Fan Assistance tent set up near Gate A on Saturday to assist you. We recommend getting there early so in case there is a wait, you will still be able to get to your seat for kickoff.

    •   If you are a season ticket holder who was moved from chairbacks to bleachers, you are still able to access the Big Green room for concessions. You may do so by walking through the chairback area only. Elevator access will be extremely limited.

    •   Masks are mandatory at all times in Joan C. Edwards Stadium.

Additional questions may be answered on HerdZone.

    See you Saturday!

    GO HERD!

  • Thursday evening and my e-mail STILL not linked to my tickets!!  Another self proclaimed "well oiled machine" production by the Mike Hamrick led Athletic Department which turns out to be another clusterF#&K concocted by Mr. Haney on the old Green Acres TV show!!!

  • Are you sure they have your current email address?  As a Chapter rep for 7 years, I found that people would constantly complain only to realize when prompted that the BG or MUAA didn't have their current email and/or mailing address because they didn't update it.

  • I really don’t get having to wear a mask while in your seat. You are socially distanced and outside. It’s more stringent than restrictions in a restaurant where the spacing is less and you’re indoors.

I’ll do it, just don’t understand it.

Yes, same address for last few years when we've purchased season tickets for both sports.  Have been on the phone with them twice this week; probably will try again.

As for the MUAA, let me just say one thing about them.  30 years or more ago, they had a program where you could join the Association by paying a larger fee and become a "Life Member".  I have at least TWO cards issued by then Association Officers to that effect.  Today, in 2020, I annually get letters from the Association urging me to "pay" to keep my membership "active"!  This tells me that the current "leadership" and staff in the MUAA have NO CLUE about the "Life Membership" plan of several decades ago, or else the association in rather slipshod fashion has lost ALL records of such a program.  Does not exactly instill Confidence and increased LOYALTY in one's Alma Mater and the way some aspects of it, like the Alumni Association, are being operated!!

I have  a friend with the same problem. They repeatedly tried to send to his address and it would not get there. He had to open another email account to get his tickets

Could be necessary to get around the WV governor's restriction on indoor or outdoor events/gatherings of more than a certain number of people (whatever amount that is now).  I haven't checked to see what other colleges in WV or Marshall opponents are doing.  Could also be a CUSA restriction.

For me the bottom line is that I don't really care what restrictions are imposed...  I'm just happy that football is being played this fall and that Marshall is playing.  It's no big deal for me to wear a mask, eye protection, or etc.  I go to watch a football game.

Its certainly not a conference mandate - did you catch Southern Miss's game last night? Lots of violations of social distancing, and masks were optional (per USM memo).  The masks to get over the 25 person limit makes sense although I don't know one way or the other

To me the “gathering rule” really doesn’t apply due to the enforced spacing. I think like this, do they limit the number of people that can be in Ritter Park?  The inside of the stadium is several acres, far different than a backyard party.

Like I said, I’ll do it but it’s not rooted in the “science” and CDC guidelines. If they weren’t limiting attendance it would be very understandable.
