SHR- - - Mike D'Antoni . . .

    • . . . apparently one of the TWO finalists for the Head Coaching Job with the Philadelphia 76ers in an article just out this evening.

    Reportedly, the 76ers could make their decision by the end of the week.  D'Antoni had been considered along with an assistant with the LA Clippers until the LA team parted company with HC Doc Rivers earlier this week.  Now its between Mike and Doc. Mike has some familiarity with the Sixers, having served as an assistant with them in 2015-16.

    • I like the Pacers nucleus of young talent better than Philly. Plus it’s drivable.

    • Wonder if he doesn’t land a job if he will be hanging around Marshall more since he has a home at the Greenbrier?

    • MD was not a good fit for the Sixers anyway, IMO.

    One of their foundation parts, Joel Embiid doesn't appear as if he loves basketball and the second major piece, Ben Simmons, has not expanded his game very much at all during his time in the league.

    A no basis opinion: MD might be hanging around more. I don't believe that he'll accept a position if he doesn't feel that it's a great fit for him & the organization. If that means he doesn't coach next season, he's not all that upset about it. Just my guess...
