  • Hopefully we'll move into the top 20 but I'd be ok staying at 22-25 after this performance and the rest of the p5 playing

  • On the flip side they had forever to prepare for us.  But if we don’t fix this offense and it’s tempo and rhythm we Will not beat other top 25 teams

Doc takes away from our offensive tempo. We electected to run the ball with FAU stacking the box before our last possession. Doc is very conservative when it comes to putting teams away..

  • No excuses but, traveling to LT a week ago then playing at home a week later isn’t much of an advantage if any playing a team that is totally rested like FAU was today.  I’ll say that had Kiffen coaches today the outcome would have been different.  Fiu is a trap game.

What’s up with Nazee Johnson.  We need him back.  And Henry and Gammage should stay starting.  Willie Johnson off the bench.  He has maybe 5 career TDs

We’ll stay in the top 25 folks, let’s not be mellow dramatic. Herd could easily end up #19-21.

#19 Va Tech is currently down 13-23 to Wake forest. Plus several others could lose tonight.

A good win today, celebrate and Go Herd!

  • Every game can’t be perfect.  FAU has forever to prepare for MU.  We won and that is all that matters.  Keep winning and we end up in the top 15.  That is a great season.  Many of you did not expect this and now complain about a top 25 team..

You must be the same people that would win the lottery and complain about paying taxes on your winnings.

  • Taggart should of kicked the FG to make it a one-score game and then the on-side kick.

You wouldn't complain about losing 40 million out of a hundred million to taxes?

Some seem to think we will move up by virtue of just winning
And others losing, but this isn't a ladder ranking, its a point system. For us to move up much further, we need voters to put us on their ballots in a higher position, in mass. Did we do anything today to warrant being #18 instead of #22 on their ballots?

The answer is no. With new teams joining the fray and more respected wins, they'll jump us.

That being said, yes, i believe we'll end up #15 or so if we do go undefeated, and UAB also does well and gives us a chance at a ranked or near ranked win at seasons end. However, we need cincinatti, and SMU to both lose, and everything to line up to send us to an access bowl for the big prize.

  • We can run the table.  But this schedule doesn’t merit an access bowl.  Only chance would be to go through this schedule with 45ppg win margin each game.  Catos 14 squad would beat every team on our schedule by 45ppg.  This Cusa is the weakest it’s ever been.  No doubts.

I don't think the undefeated champ of the 2020 CUSA would get the invite to a NY6 bowl regardless of margin of victory. The AAC's champ with 2 losses will trump any undefeated CUSA champ.

Totally agree. Can you imagine what Pennington or Leftwich teams would have done in this league?

A true pro qb prospect rd 1 pick playing in this league right now.  With the weapons they had!  50 Tds / 5k passing yards.  Cato would do the same.

Exactly, E-Man.  After their first touchdown, and blocked extra point, I believe on the next series, Doc had decided to sit on the one point lead.  They had momentum, had a long drive resulting in a touchdown, what did we do?  After the kick off, we ran 3 simple dive plays into the center of the line, and FAU's D, for less than 10 yards, and gave them the ball right back!!  Doc just never takes the opportunity to break the opponent's will; his conservative overall approach ALLOWS them to stay in the game, within striking distance, etc., giving their players the will to continue to compete.  Doesn't know how to go for the jugular.  Same-o, Same-o crap we saw from Doc in the JOAN in 2010 in giving away a win to WVU; saw the same kind of "choking at key moments" coaching down at VA Tech in a 3 overtime loss!  Doc is the same Doc today!
