  • I haven't followed the recruiting scene in a few years. Have any talented kids given us a look now that we are big time?

  • I've wondered the same thing, especially with playing on real TV and not Facebook.

  • 4 or so OL commits right now
    1 DL
    1 LB
    Couple jucos

Offers are mostly mid/low major but who knows bc some players with work ethic pass others quicker in the Covid era.  Hard work truly pays off right now.  We need ol.  Glad to see that.  Like a 265 lb DE with 4.7 speed.   More lb needed.  Go juco some too.  Jucos get more eligibility right now.  Good idea to invest in jucos.  Can get (3) playing years out of them

  • I would love to see a JUCO OL right now commit. If I'm not mistaken our entire OL is going to graduate.

There was a post a few weeks ago on the Nation stating that the word on the street  8) was that as many as 3 SR OL would return under COVID exemption for seniors. Add in the local kid transferring from UNC and we would be in great shape. And I am not sure what class the very versatile Will Ulmer is without looking.

And the stable is by no means bare below those 6-7 the way I understand things.

But, strictly conjecture at this point. It is a huge commitment, especially for those in the trenches.

  • From a list on another site, the Herd's recruits include enough 2 stars types for the upcoming class, IMO.  Hopefully Doc and his staff are still in the hunt for some high quality and highly recruited players.  Herd keeps winning out through the end of the season, including the conference championship and a bowl game, should hopefully persuade a few of these players to pick the Herd.

Also, with everything that has gone on in this COVID plagued athletic season, we know that there may unprecedented movement among student athletes in terms of changing schools.  Things like graduate transfers.  Hopefully, Doc, who always holds some scholarships back for late spring and summer, will be able to pick up a few of these players, along with a few jucos, to help fill holes and strengthen the Herd squad in 2021!!
