  • . . . is tomorrow, Wednesday.  Anyone else surprised at the lack of discussion, talk, speculation, etc., vis-à-vis MU football recruiting at this time?  Directly 180 degrees from info out of WVU as to the number of commits the EERS have, multiple statements, briefings, etc., from HC Brown on how many total players EERS expect to bring in, what positions are being emphasized in recruiting, how many possible scholarships will be used later for possible transfers, etc., etc.

At MU, well the silence is deafening while the cobwebs apparently grow bigger around the football offices in the Shewey Building.  Any idea or word from the football office on possible numbers, if any, the Herd plans to sign on Wednesday?  Einstein of a beat writer at the H-D ever think to possibly run the issue of 2021 recruiting by Doc at one of his highly scripted, tightly choreographed pressers?  MU Coaches doing a lot of social media recruiting, zoom contacts, and the like?  Herd holding back any number of scholarships for the spring/summer for late transfers, grad transfers, etc.?

Guess we'll all be patient little "mushrooms" and will find out when we find out and when Hammy, Doc and the brain trust in the Shewey want us to know!

  • If we only lose 4 guys to graduation and the rest are taking advantage of the extra year, we're only signing 4 correct?

  • WCHS TV in Charleston this evening reported that Doc signed 9 players, but gave no details.  Had a brief video with Doc who mentioned basically something about being cautious in recruiting due to fact that number of seniors eligible to return and who actually WILL return in 21, is unknown, fluid, in flux, etc., etc.

  • I don't get this thread at all, there is a major recap of the signing day on HerdZone, where the information should be.  Plus, it has been all over Facebook, they announced as the kids signed.

Please reread.  Thrust of the OP is that very little discussion, mention, talk of Herd recruiting leading up to the NLI date.  Indication of total disinterest, perhaps, in Herd football by a significant segment of the fan base?  People could care less about future MU players that Doc recruits, meaning just more of the same?  Pre NLI date lack of any fan discussion regarding football recruiting possibly a measuring stick of fans' overall unfavorable opinion of Herd football under Doc, perhaps?

  • FWIW: I read that The Herd signed a player out of Poca and some other local players signed at other schools. Spring Valley player to wvu; a South Charleston player to UC; and an Ironton player to OSU.

  • Our class is rated 117th by 247 and was 100th last year. All Doc cares about is squeezing another year or two out of what he has left. We're gonna be in absolute shambles come the middle of this decade.
