How many coaches that watched the game could figure out why John put a tight end at qb and refused to play a backup qb?
He has always refused to use a backup. What the hell is a backup for in John’s mind? It’s no wonder he loses his teams every year. At times the players themselves look at him and think what the hell are you doing?

Many have been calling for that wildcat (or whatever we call it at MU) for a while; post game said they worked the package in during the week purposefully, Doc mentioned it himself.  NO need to run that system, and then hand the ball off on second and 7 for a dive up the middle.  It is a spread offense, not much spread about up the 2 hole, or A gap I guess it's called now.

I believe we could have ran X at QB a couple times a game all year and done some effective plays. Problem was we waited to use it in this game after 10 incomplete passes in a row when the defense was already going to T off on the run. Then we ask X to throw a deep pass instead of something manageable for him to hit. Terrible coaching.
