  • When was the last time we went six consecutive quarters without scoring?

Unbelievable ..... Actually (7) quarters without a point.  Didn’t score in 4th against MTSU

  • Here is another question for you.....How hard do you think it is for an an opposing coach to scout our tendencies? My guess is about 2 hours....

90% pass on first down- pass play will not be down the middle of the field, but 5-10 yards from hash to sideline.
90% on second down and more than 8 yards- run
90% on third down pass 20 yards or more down the field despite how much yardage you need.

I bet other coaches laugh out our play calling, I know I do.... Cramsey thinks he is being clever but he is predictable.

  • I Never liked the Cramsey hire.  I knew He inherited an already good offense before here.  Still waited to judge once here.  Don’t like his offense and in game offensive flow.  Does not use tempo and all of his weapons.  But at the end of the day the HC goes into (0) games blind.  They know what’s going to happen.  Buck stops with the HC.  If my team stinks it’s bc I stink too.

  • Last shut out I could find was in 2000. Lost to Toledo 42-0.  Week before lost to Western Michigan 30-10. Not sure when we scored the 10 points. But, my guess would be it was not 7 straight scoreless quarters.

  • '81 might be our worst offensive year. Three straight shut outs. Game before those three we scored 3. Game after 7.  Only 94 points the whole year. Only 2 games with 20 or more.  Shut out by ETSU, Louisville, UTC, Indiana State.

That season did, however, include our first ever Southern Conference win, 17-10 over App State.

I remember those years well at old Fairfield.

  • Oddly enough, Cramsey recently said that Wells learned the offense so quickly that they just kept adding plays, were up to about 170 I think he said. Went on to say they just quit adding as there were too many.  Well, if that is the case, it seems one might use some of those to confuse the heck out of the opposing defense; just saying.

  • Who has heard of a head coach refuseing to put in a backup qb even tho his starter did not complete a pass until middle of 3rd quarter? Only holliday would be that stubborn. So sad we have him running a football team.

  • A new TE in must count as a new play bc a different player.  Everything acts the same.  There is 0 game flow to his calling.  Bottom line, in 99/100 instances a HC only gets to select (2) new OC's when team performances are bad ..... after that it's on the HC bc he selected both.  Heads roll.  It's just time for fresh air in Herd football ..... it really is.  When L's don't bother The Herd Faithful there is a problem bigger than any one person.
