  • You bet we need him. But we need the guy that plays under control. Hopefully he understands that now. I love talking potential as freshman but not seniors. Seniors need to get it done.

I'm not talking potential. He's shown he's capable of it, what we need to see now is consistency. He's had 3 or 4 really nice games and then 2 or 3 duds.

Agree. Potential to be consistant. Everyone knows how good he can be. Great players bring it every night. I hope he does because if he does with the growth of Early and Obinna we could really have something. And Williams and Beyers both need to be consistant. They don’t have to bring 20+ a night. 13-14 consistantly by both would be a welcome addition. I have hope they will.

  • He can do that if he plays within the system. When he tries to do it on his own is when he has major problems. Dannys system is all about ball movement and creating spacing for open shots. If you notice every year and not just this year, when we start playing “me” ball we look horrible. When we play team ball we really look good. To bad they weren’t focused against a Toledo because we would be 7-0 right now.

Yep, if we're going to play "me" ball, then we need a lot more guys who are good ball handlers.  IMO, beyond West, Taylor and Kinsey, we are really not that deep in players who are really fluid, handle the ball well, can create successfully in one on one situations, set up their own shot, drive and dish effectively, and take the ball off the dribble from outside and to the hole and finish.  Moving the ball successfully with passes is essential in Danny's system, especially lacking the "creative" skills among too many of our players!
