  • I haven?t seen this mentioned in any threads.  It certainly looks like ND decided this is a good time to muddy college football broadcasting waters.  Maybe flexing their muscles to see how much they can test ESPN?s grasp on the balls of college football broadcasting?

  • I think it's NBC trying to milk money out of Notre Dame fans and test how much they can get to determine future games on Peacock.

    There's a big difference in getting to be streamed on a major streaming service like Peacock and being streamed on FB presented by Stadium. Also, ND does not have to be all that concerned about 'casual' fans randomly clicking onto their games. ND's fanbase is large, national & dedicated--plus relatively financially well off that live in areas with good broadband. Additionally, there are a whole lot of ND-haters who'll make the effort to DL the Peacock app & find the game to hopefully watch them lose.
