  • Does anyone else feel like this season is going to shape up a lot like 2013? High scoring games, with lots of offense, and tons of yards? With the inevitable turnovers, dumb penalties, and mistakes from the 600+ yards that are put up? And defenses that are completely gassed by the 4th quarter since they're out there for 40 minutes?

  • Not a bad comparison.  Defense is not good and the offense will be exciting but will have turnovers that cost us.  I am hoping Huff doesn?t have as thin of a skin as it appears early as he won?t survive.

Huff similar to Snyder against KState and Doc against WVU, seemed to lose composure down the stretch when the game got close in the 4th quarter.

  • It was a tough loss and probably hurt the coaches and team as much or more than it hurt the fans.   Hopefully we can learn and grow from this.   Mentally this team is still weak and has a ways to go to become mentally tougher.  They have to learn to finish.  I believe Huff will get us there and if he can't we will find someone that will.

  • While I think he will be OK, I'm betting those who recommended and hired him had an "Oh Shix" moment when they saw and heard his comments after Saturday's game.  People may try, but there is very little lipstick to be put on the pig of some of his comments. I'm betting he'd love to have them back; just one man's guess.

He'll learn he doesn't have to fight so hard for acceptance, just win and the rest takes care of itself.

  • I'll take a 2013 season if next year looks like a 2014 season (minus the WKU game)

  • 2013 was a good season. We blew out ECU at home and beat Maryland. We had started slowing the offense down that year and ran Talliaferro a lot to help the defense out. I also believe it was Chuck Heater's first year as DC.

You may be thinking of 2012. 2012 was when we ran close to the most plays in the country per game, but defense under Rippon was horrible, we went 5-7. After that, Doc fired Rippon, found Heater, and slowed the offense down.

  • The front 7 on our D is very solid. Its the secondary that's a huge issue? Wonder who the DB coach is?
