  • It is with deep sadness  to inform Herd fans that former Marshall running back David Crisp passed away. The Herald Net ran a very nice article about David's son who's a guard for the Washington Huskies. The Crisp family have very deep ties to Marshall. David Crisp?s father, Ray Crisp Sr., was among the first African-American football players in Marshall?s history. David Sr. and his two brothers ? George and Ray Jr. ? played for The Herd during the 1970s. I know all the Crisp brothers, me and George are very tight to this day.. Here's a very nice article about the Crisp family from Seattle's Newspaper, The Herald Net...

Thanks Wolf! Dave was a great family man... It's been years since I seen him. His brother George still lives here in Huntington and we're pretty tight..

  • I hate to hear this!!  I knew Dave back  in the day, partied with him a little. I knew George better, used to work with him.  I haven't seen him in years either.   Dave was a hell of a nice guy, so sad to hear of his passing!! RIP!!
