  • . . . team at WVU, according to Metro News today.  5 members of the squad have tested positive, as Huggy's EERS prepare for summer conditioning prior to any practices.  Players apparently will self quarantine for a couple weeks.  One staff member also tested positive as well as 4 additional members of the WVU football squad.  Looks like Morgantown/Mon. County is one of the State's current "hot spots", based on the latest virus numbers.

  • It's going to be very difficult to socially distant 18 to 22 year old college students whether they play sports or not.  Even more difficult once you factor in activities such as sports, band, fraternities, after school employment, dining halls, dorm life, live classes (including labs), clinical work at hospitals for nursing students and others, and etc.

Just hope and pray everyone of all ages stay safe and healthy.

Colleges and businesses (big and small) have a lot riding on whether sports start this fall.  No doubt there is a lot of pressure on college presidents and athletic conferences to have fall sports.  It could literally be the difference between economic survival and bankruptcy for some.  Regardless of what decisions are made with regard to fall sports I hope that the all mighty dollar doesn't outweigh common sense.

  • Huggins falls in the very at risk category I’d have to believe. Hopefully he’s taking this seriously.

  • Who the eff cares....it's a virus. What do people expect to happen. Either live your life or live in a bubble, I don't care.

I swear, saying COVID to half the population is like watching the hyenas in Lion King when they heard the word Mufasa.

  • I know COVID I?d serious. Even if the death numbers are overinflated, it has still killed a lot of people. However, can you imagine the panic if they published daily new case counts for the flu every year?  In an average year, 60,000,000 people catch it in 5 months.  That?s an average of 400,000 a day.

Exactly how I feel. This is just proof as to how easily people can be manipulated by the media.

That was my intended point.  I realize now it could have been taken another way.  ;)

  • Well, sheet, never figured my thread would be around this long!  I guess it and the COVID Virus are running neck and neck in a marathon!

Maybe E-Man has "stumbled" on to something.  With all the Zillions of $$$$$ the Federal Government, CDC, private lab companies, etc., are spending on the virus, someone ought to give some research outfit funds to test just how long this virus can thrive and live in liquor.  If the spirits kill, eliminate the virus in a short period of time, then I recommend that the President, Federal Government, etc., strongly recommend, if not mandate, regular booster "shots" for EVERYONE!  Anyone else drink to that?  :D :D

No doubt. Some were convinced by the media that the virus would go away after the 2020 election.
