  • Are you getting one of WVAH's sub channels? 11.1 or 11.2?

Make sure you are on 11.0

  • Yeah Fox11 doesn't even show up in DirecTV anymore.  Channel 8 bought them up and just tucked them away.  I think they use like 9 now or something on there.

  • Yep, time to rescan your local channels!

I have no idea why the change from 11.1 to 8.2.

There is a good chance that it's not the antenna itself.
    Two things to check:
-Clean the connectors on the cable ends going to the antenna and any other place where the compression ends are screwed into, say a grounding block. Unscrew them, use some vinegar & then spray with contact cleaner or WD40.
-Make sure your antenna is still pointed in a good direction. Channel 8 is a pretty good distance away.
Here's a link to help locate where the antennas are with regard to your house:https://www.fcc.gov/media/engineering/dtvmaps

As a "last resort"  you could perhaps take a "tip" from the great Al Bundy:  wrap some aluminum foil around a couple sets of rabbit ears and then have your wife and kids, if applicable, walk around the room where your TV is situated until, hopefully, a signal comes in!  :D  If successful, you can thank me later!  ;)

I know you said that in jest, but seriously that can work depending on where the antenna is in the house & the terrain between the antenna & the broadcast tower.

Seriously, the writers of "Married with Children" had a good sense of humor.  They poked fun at their own network, Fox, still in its infancy, when they had Al say the line " Assume Fox viewing positions", and then the kids, wife, would pick up those antennas, walk around the room, get on the floor, stand on a chair, etc., etc.!
