After the realignment, I suspect he'd rather be somewhere else;lets see if he can make that happen.

Coaches have to win championships! Schools aren't accepting just winning enough to keep a coaching job and being mediocre.

If I have offended anyone on the board and they are willing to pay me $3 million to leave the board, I will go as soon as their check clears.

  • I've always liked Holtz as a person. Seems like a class act guy. Coaching wise his record speaks for itself.  I put him in the Doc, Coach Studstill category: Above average running program but short on wins that really matter. Wish him and LT the best.
"Too many people are thinking of security instead of opportunity; they seem more afraid of life than of death"  – James F. Byrnes

Government is the most dangerous institution known to man. Throughout history it has violated the rights of men more than any individual or group of individuals could do: it has killed people, enslaved them, sent them to forced labor and concentration camps, and regularly robbed and pillaged them of the fruits of their expended labor. ~ JOHN HOSPERS

  • Good riddance! He?s a control freak. Look at the number of OC?s he?s had. They come in thinking they can run the offense and then half way through the first season they realize he?s in total control.

Ironically, when Skip was the OC at the real USC, Lou Holtz did the same to Skip.
In memory of Dr Daniel P Babb who taught so much to so many.

  • There is always a challenge when changing football coaches.  The success rate seems to be well below 50%.  Look at Nebraska after running Solich out and now Ohio without Solich.  La Tech was always a contender type team with Holtz.

We seem to have avoided the down turn with a new coach and that was my worry.  Huff will mirror Doc or do slightly worse in his first year.  We could have hired a guy that went 3-9.  Huff got better as the season went on and that should continue unless he does get the Va Tech job.
