  • I don?t even think he?s as good of a coach as he once was. When he was first doing the zone read it was innovative and he won a lot of games. But everyone runs it now and is used to defending it.

  • New Jacksonville State Coach.

Wonder if he'll have 1 or 2 of the Bowden boys on his staff.

  • Will be interesting to see how he does. If he does well, he'll be right back in line for a higher end job.

He's done a great job at ULM this year imo....I watched a few of their games and he had a little QB there who was doing a great job....and he was the backup under 1st year Rich Rod.

He didn?t win as the head coach at Michigan or Arizona and he left both programs a complete mess.  Defensive coaches have had 20 years of seeing his offense now.

He kinda lucked out at wvu.remember his starting QB was 6-5 or 6-6 and 220-225 and broke his collarbone on a running play. He had to put FR White and RB had injuries so 5th string RB Steve Slaton played and all of a sudden the new 'o' started putting up points. What would have happened if the starting QBs and RBs stayed healthy. Much like doc moving DJ back to natural position after the Herd's RBs got hurt during August practices.

  • But he can't keep it in his pants.

Programs don't care about scandal or bad press when it comes to winning coaches.  They usually DO care about paying out lawsuits and damages.  But if a program is jumping to FBS and wants to make a statement, they might have a blind spot.  I think this is a risky hire.  RRod's infidelity was WIDELY rumored back to his WVU days (I heard wild claims of him getting a cheerleader pregnant...that seemed a bit too far to me, but I guess it's possible).  With the revelations at ASU, he admitted to cheating on his wife

Maybe but my guess he'll be looking at the Alabama gals since that's where Jacksonville State is located.

Despite the geographical mix up, yogiherd, you can bet that the deciding factor in Rodruguez's accepting the job was when their Athletic Director showed him photos of Jacksonville State Cheerleaders for the upcoming 2022 season!!  ;D    weenie Rod was understandably "very pleased"!!

I can't blame a man for wanting to bang the hottest babes around. But when you're married and in the spotlight you to have to be disciplined to not go there. It can cost you millions of dollars and a career. As for Rich Rod, he didn't win with all the resources at Michigan and Arizona what makes anyone think he can win again?
