  • It was Goddard's remarkable 87-yard lateral interception that turned into a Herd touchdown, and changed the momentum that September 2003 day, for the Herd to knock off Kansas State.  I have to believe it will be Henry Colombi who will be the one to shine against Notre Dame.  He said that he came to Marshall primarily because of being able to play Notre Dame at Notre Dame's stadium.  I'm looking for him to have a HUGE game.

  • I am virtually always wrong on this, but Shadeed Ahmed is my pick to have a breakout game.

Looked like we clipped a K-state player on that return.

  • Looked like we clipped a K-state player on that return.

I always thought that, too, but the closer angle I saw somewhere shows it was pad to pad, not what it looked like from high broadcast game.

Had the roles been reversed I would claim clip, too.

  • Either way; here is the good news... can't call it back now.

Dude was playing with a bum hamstring, ran that distance, at a pretty quick clip. You can see as he nears the endzone he either loosened up or just ran through it.

I don't think we will see a Marshall Miracle this weekend. I do think Huff's Herd will give them some fits.

  • That man was an absolute beast, and an even better person. Happy that I got to have him as a coach for little league back then.
I think offensively Ethan Payne will be the breakout player with a long TD run.
On defense I think it will be a defensive back with a pick 6 I think Gilmore jumps a short route for it.

  • I also liked Goddard's interception return at Ohio when he raised his hand and one-armed the ball in the backfield and returned it a short distance for a TD.

  • there are a lot of good pieces on this team.  some could be great and they need to start or continue their legacy Saturday.  it might be a little boring to some, but i'd be ecstatic if our kicking game and K returners win this one (Keaton, Verhoff, others).

  • Andre Sam with a critical FF and Beauplan with blind side sack to force fumble.  He is very good.  Sam plays mean.

  • You can't overlook Goddard's amazing performance against #3 Georgia. He and our special team gunners nearly stole that game.
