I have no idea how good Cole Pennington is, or is going to be. But it might do us all well to remember he is the only QB on the team last year that did not show up in Huntington until August practice. So, regardless of how capable he is at absorbing things, one would expect everyone else to be ahead of him in many respects of being a teams quarterback.
I'm actually a bit surprised that he, and now Yates, are at MU. There is always so much to live up to when you follow a family member who has been a star somewhere. Hopefully we'll give them both the ability to be themselves, and to be evaluated against their own capabilities, not their dads.
