  • I?m excited for the game this Saturday against JMU. I think that game will let us know where we stand in terms of the other top SBC teams.

We are the best team in the conference. If we come to play nobody beats us. The keys are intense focus on D and keep the ball moving on offense. We only lose if we stop doing those 2 things.

"Too many people are thinking of security instead of opportunity; they seem more afraid of life than of death"  – James F. Byrnes

Government is the most dangerous institution known to man. Throughout history it has violated the rights of men more than any individual or group of individuals could do: it has killed people, enslaved them, sent them to forced labor and concentration camps, and regularly robbed and pillaged them of the fruits of their expended labor. ~ JOHN HOSPERS

  • What a joke you are. We beat App at by 26 that lost to Wake Forest by 1 and you still bitch.

Um, the post was in response to one on long term coaching tendencies, etc., and not on the specific game tonight!  Once again, you demonstrate your serious deficiencies in reading comprehension.  But I'm sure you'll get a warm smile from your "hero" at the next practice and will just tingle all over!

  • The refs thought they were in Boone for some unknown reason.  The most one sided poorly called game I've ever seen period.  Our play wasn't bad considering all the players we had with 2 or more fouls by the 15 min mark of the 2nd half.

    I hope Fricks is ok.

You must not have been around for the Marquette game back in 69/70.  Tonight's officials were very bad, but that Marquette game set the standard for biased officiating,

Nope I've learned you take a swipe at him every chance you get. From Heelbilly ball to Dazzlin or Dandy Dan. You just can't let it go.

The more he talks the more foolish he proves to be.  Another win or two and it will be time to go pull up some of his preseason statements.  Dead wrong and still talking.  Most of the other detractors are at least smart enough to change opinion OR at a minimum STFU.  But not Coal.

  • The JMU coach mentioned in his post game comments that their top scorer is sick and may not be ready for the Marshall game

  • Just for fun, Wake Forest beat #17 Duke by 11 and #13 Wisconsin by 3. And Wake beat App St on a last second shot. We beat App St by 26. Seems like we keep seeing a lot of this type comparisons with teams we have destroyed by 15-20-26 points or more.

  • We are much better defensively. This has to be Dan's best defensive team.

i don't mean to take anything away that is positive- earlier in the year, teams with good guards succeeded pretty well but very few teams can always stop that.  i'm still not 100% sure exactly what we've got because of the overall level of competition, but i tend to hover on the cautious side.

however, i cannot deny that we're long and move pretty well, stop or disrupt a lot of shots down low to midrange, play well together most of the time and this version of DD 's teams make a bit fewer, overall mistakes.  i also cannot deny that defensive adjustments by the coaching staff seem to be more prevalent, decisive and effective this year compared to others (e.g. putting Kinsey on Boykins)
