  • Would like to have a roster list for that team (47, 48 & 49). My boss played on one of those.

  • A side note about the article was Cam's "right hand" Roy Straight. I remember Ernie Salvatore had published an article about Mr. Straight that he should been hired to replace Cam when Henderson gave up coaching football at MU.

Straight then decided to become an educator. Straight was a long time Cabell County educator, first as principal at West Junior High where he would sometimes "help"the football coach at practice if this was first time the coached ran a team. He then was principal at the Old Huntington High School. I believe he made the decision to integrate the HHS majorettes? He lived in the St. Clouds complex and was involved in the Little League 2 and the Peewee baseball program. I was told by a former great MU baseball player that one time Straight was coaching a group of first time Peewee players and that he them organized and playing at a unit in one session.
