Topic: Tanner Holden enters portal

Could Dan write his wrongs with Holden and open up a roster spot. He is a proven scorer at the mid major level averaging more than 15 a game at Wright State for in two different seasons. I've got about zero confidence in Dantoni and staff with recruiting, but if he could pull this off.....

I don't think he'd come, but I do think he'd be a good 7th man, maybe sixth. He's played in some big games while at Wright State, and now has big conference experience  in a few games and daily practice.  Plus, it would bring another heritage story home; which Marshall should always build on if possible.

He starts at the 3 spot if he would come. Kind of got lost in the shuffle at Ohio state who had a terrible year, but make no mistake a 15PPG scorer in Marshall's system.

the limit on transfers only applies to undergraduates.  Tanner has probably earned a degree.

This is the easiest no brainer of all time.  Lose your ego coach and make space for him.  This would energize the fan base and make us forget Napolean Dynamite ever left.

I found this in a story in a Columbus newspaper.  "Holden would not be eligible to be a graduate transfer and could potentially have to return to Wright State in order to be immediately eligible."  I don't really understand what this means.  It sounds like if you transfer to another school through the portal and then enter the portal again as a non-grad transfer, the only way to avoid having to sit out a season is to go back the original school you transferred from, in this case Wright State.

I agree. First Danny would never run off a bench player for a good player. And second, I can't imagine Holden coming here now after being turned down in the beginning.

I see your point, but with Tavion here, Tanner NOT being here was good for him; they could not have effectively shared the spotlight.  I don't think he'd find MU his targeted school, but I do think a good value proposition from DD could draw him here if he has no top 50 program offers.

Looks like someone posted he can only go back to Wright State, if that is the case, I don't understand why he'd even announce the portal, he'd either have an arrangement and just go back, or be done.

Yes we a need direction it hurts to say that a Legacy can?t get it done but its true!

WE NEED A WINNER IN THE COLLEGE GAME OUT OF THE ACC OR SEC WHO WANTS AN OPPORTUNITY
TO BECOME THE NEXT GIANT KELLER PROGRAM AND EVEN GREG MARSHALL MIGHT JUST BE THAT MAN!
