The league is pretty good and will get better. We play 4 teams that went to NCAA last year although only one was SBC (UK). Pitt plays 6 in Sept alone (3 OOC). WVU will be better as they rolled through their spring schedule 5-0 including wins over Maryland and Wake Forest plus two teams we play in Wright State and VCU. Three Horizon teams too many as they were ranked worst RPI league in country last year. If we replaced at least one of those with a BE, Big10, A10, or ACC school it would help our rpi immensely. Now i'm assuming two of the Horizon games this year were fulfillment of two game contracts from games last year (Wright State, Cleveland St). So let's hope we can upsize the schedule a little more next year. Would love to see something like Akron, Belmont, Dayton and another BE, ACC team to replace Pitt next year. Or how about UNCG who we play in BB.
Speaking of SB soccer, I came across this video of UCF soccer facility that opened in last couple of years. Pretty impressive:

I rewatched 1st half of match vs Brazilian team and think we are going to be quite good despite losing six starters who played on natl champ team, five of which signed pro contracts and one who transferred to Pitt (Souza). Just remains to be seen how long it takes team to gel with so many new parts. Depth will allow us to play faster and fresher. As i've stated, we have to finish better around net. 39-2-4 when we've scored 2+ goals since early 2018 and one of those losses was the two hand ball PKs awarded to VT in 2021 in 2nd half. Also, since Fordham match in NCAAs we have scored 1 goal or less in every post season game (conf tourn and NCAA's) we have played. That's 10 straight postseason matches of 1 goal or less.
