  • Totally agree. And, yeah, I'm not sure how the licensing rights work, either. Even in the one offered at the QB club reverse raffle, it doesn't appear to be a lot of Notre Dame in the pics. All three are mostly Marshall players. There is the Notre Dame player falling down, but you can't distinguish the Notre Dame logo, etc. Wonder if that's because Notre Dame won't allow it?

Don't think so. The ND logo is at the bottom in the "box score", which is more identifiable than the gold helmets and blue tops. Those are all Getty images, which cost around $500 each to be used editorially. How much they would be so that they could be resold/printed/etc, I don't know.

Sholten Singer took photos for the Herald Dispatch. You could buy those individually and make your own for what it's worth. Sad that that's probably the best option nearly a year later. I'm sure a good framer could make you something like pictured above. Stadium Frame is still in business in Huntington from what I can gather online and probably did the above matted image.

Good point, GoHerd35. And I didn't even notice the ND logo in the box score. Old age creeping up on me. Ha-ha! Appreciate the info about the pics and framing. I believe I may buy those individually and have them framed, as you suggested.

  • I don't know what the licensing rights are and the way that works, but every day that passes is money lost. They should have had these ready to go (if possible) a week or two after the game, or at least pre-orders being delivered by Christmas for folks. Strike while the iron is hot, but now there would be hesitation from some leading to a non-purchase.

Also agree.  Should have had something ready to go by or before the start of this season when Fan excitement/interest is high in anticipation of what should be an exciting and possibly a very successful season!!
