  • Rooms are now available since we're within a year of the game date, but many close to the stadium are already sold out.  I got a Holiday Inn Express 1.7 miles from the stadium for $157/night.

I wouldn't recommend the hotels "close to campus". I'd suggest the short north area and to be quite honest it's walkable.

    Moxy Hotel
    Graduate
    Joseph
    Hampton Inn convention center
The new Hilton tower is awesome.
    Hilton
    Hyatt regency  convention center
    Canopy

Lots of non chain restaurants, breweries and very cool bars around the convention center and in the short north.
Happy to answer questions about fun places and suggest food and beverage.

Ummm aren?t there quite a few bars/clubs in short north that a guy may be a little uncomfortable in? 🌈

  • Circleville is a 20-30 minute drive to the stadium and 71N/315n takes you within a couple blocks of the stadium.  Big parking lots off that road near the soccer field.  Easy way in and a lot cheaper.  There is also a big outdoor mall and plenty of restaurants w/bars off same exit.

  • why would you need a hotel for a game in Columbus? Nobody stays in Athens when we play there.

Maybe because not everyone lives in Huntington?

  • Columbus is almost twice the distance from here as Athens, that's a big difference.

Or people have families and want to do the zoo one day or other attractions.   Lot of amenities in Columbus.  Not a bad place for a weekend getaway.

I've also heard a rumor that people sometimes like to drink at football games and aren't comfortable driving afterwards.

  • 1. Anybody who would feel "uncomfortable" in Short North is a baby.

    2. I honestly can't tell if Meister's comment is trolling or if he's just that dense.

    3. AirBnB is the way to go.
