In all honesty, Wells may be the best we can hope for at this point.  What QB is going to come into this mess.  I feel sorry for Doege.  This dude gets the opportunity he's always wanted and it looks like it will be over before it starts.

Isn't that what happened with Tanner Holden?  Went back into the portal after going to Ohio State and some weird rule made is so that going back to Wright State was the only choice??

Not sure if it was a joke but Grant Wells has taken his last snap behind center at Marshall. 10 straight incompletions while looking to hide behind his OL is one thing, but stepping out of bounds short of the sticks while trailing in a must-win game is another. And I do understand he could well be better able to perform than any QB we have right now.

Wish him the best in football and in life but that ship has sailed.
