Our record is actually the same record as MANY other teams going to bowls this year, and several of them our in our conference.

Just a touch over 25% of the bowl eligible teams are 6-6.

The only angle I can get from being mentioned with EMU is that Spears spent time there.  I hope he's not pulling for this.  The bowl in Detroit wouldn't be bad, IMO, if it wasn't the day after Christmas.  The Tasty Toastery (Bahamas) makes the most sense as it's in Charlotte, on Saturday, the 16th, and I think MU would put a lot of fans in the seats (15K stadium)

FYI:  Bahamas bowl in Charlotte moved to Monday the 18th, Myrtle  Beach moved to 16th a few week back:

Might be basically the whole point ....  being 6-6 after a 4-0 start. We might not be bringing the fans to any bowl like in years past.

Good thing the J R B economy is strong though ... one never knows.

Last night I went to the women's game at Morehead.  Someone close to the Shewey Buildding  personnel told me that Boise was a very real possibility.  That person was not at all excited.

Probably should have told that person that we finished tied for last in the East division and don't really get to be picky.....Probably not on their free trip destination list.

Exactly. And I think the opponent, Utah State, isn't bad at all. Since 2018, the Aggies have had four winning seasons (two losing seasons). Two of those four winning seasons they won 11 games. If we do get that bowl/opponent, it will be cool to watch us play a MWC team, IMO. We rarely get to do that.

Nobody wants Idaho and utah state imo. Stupid destination, opponent thats decent but nobody cares if you beat, which we wouldn't anyway. We need a p5 for huff to seem to care to prep for the game and the players motivated enough to play hard.

That being said, won't know til after the title games. Was told today that depending on some results, right now Idaho is the landing spot, but i was not privy to who needs to win what to change it. Slight chance we get a p5.

I like it. An opponent we don't ever see in a cool, albeit hard to get to destination. Good opportunity to showcase Marshall to a region that likely doesn't know a lot about MU, especially the casual fan.

My only complaint, the date. Yuck.
