  • Alienated the fan base.
    Alienated the community.
    Alienated the boosters.
Alienated his athletes and potential recruits.

No one is going to want to come to see this team next year unless they are there to rag on the coach.  This isn't a dumpster fire, the whole landfill is burning.

I keep hearing people say if he wins the Sun Belt next year all will be fine.  How?  With who?  Who wants to transfer in here or sign out of high school?  And let's face it, the way this guy coaches I doubt he could win a conference title if he had the 72 Dolphins or the 85 Bears playing for him.

THE ADMINISTRATION CANNOT LEAVE THIS GUY IN PLACE FOR ANOTHER DAY.  He is a loose cannon, a proverbial pyromaniac with the keys to a dynamite factory and a Zippo lighter.

Go do a national search for a coach.  Marshall is still a brand and someone will want to come here.  Leave the selection process up to professionals who know what they are doing, not boosters or academic types.
"On rainy days, the early justices would enliven case conferences with wine. On other days, even if the sun was shining, Chief Justice John Marshall would order wine anyway, saying, 'Our jurisdiction is so vast that it must be raining somewhere.' "

  • With all that has happened over the past years, I'm wondering how much of a brand Marshall football really is.

  • This is an all-time, impressive Marshall beater from Coach Huff.

  • Huff and his Agent have a lot of work to do.  13 month intensive rehab program.

From here out how many think Huff will give the job 100%?  75%?  50%?

Whether Huff remains at Marshall 2 more weeks or 13 months, I think Huff will give the job between 50% to 75%.  His remaining effort will go into finding another job.

When Huff was hired I was optimistic about him and expected him to succeed.  Now,  I find myself hoping he and his agent does not disparage Marshall (before or after he leaves) and trash the program on his way out the door.

    I disagree.
Assuming that Coach Marshall Beater is still here, he'll give it his best effort because that's the way to make himself a more attractive job candidate. The 100% effort probably won't be enough to right this ship, but it's in his and his agent's interest to do the that he can.
In memory of Dr Daniel P Babb who taught so much to so many.
