  • Jamaicans best sprinters in world.  Now known for soccer.  Grassie needs to give track coach contacts.

  • Just so people understand, this is not the type of international recruit that some coaches are upset about. He's a 17-year old coming though an MLS academy, he's the expected and usual age and development of typical college freshmen.  The "international" players that some object to are those that stay in European or South American junior academy U-20 teams, and then get into scouting programs to figure out their path and decide to come to college and end up being a 22- or 23-year-old "freshman" with all these years of experience.

my amateur gut response is that if it's within the rules then nobody should complain.  anyway, i'm thankful to Grassie for knowing how to evaluate and recruit talent within the system framework

  • Some video from 2022

BTW, the #1 ranked player from that academy is committed to WVU. Mahoney is ranked #30. Wonder if WVU's Calderio (sp) came from there. I know he is a Canadian player.

After watching the NCAA College Cup Final it seems we have work to do on the defensive end. Both those teams were incredibly connected on defense at all levels imo. Much like we were in 2021 (spring)

BTW #2: the transfer from Memphis, Lineker Rodrigues dos Santos, played his HS soccer in Texas

"Too many people are thinking of security instead of opportunity; they seem more afraid of life than of death"  – James F. Byrnes

Government is the most dangerous institution known to man. Throughout history it has violated the rights of men more than any individual or group of individuals could do: it has killed people, enslaved them, sent them to forced labor and concentration camps, and regularly robbed and pillaged them of the fruits of their expended labor. ~ JOHN HOSPERS
