He's a 17-year old coming though an MLS academy, he's the expected and usual age and development of typical college freshmen. The "international" players that some object to are those that stay in European or South American junior academy U-20 teams, and then get into scouting programs to figure out their path and decide to come to college and end up being a 22- or 23-year-old "freshman" with all these years of experience.
