Transfers No Longer Required to Set Out a Year

  • Unless a transferring athletes met an exception they could only transfer once without setting out a year.  Thanks to Judge Bailey's ruling today all transferring athletes are now immediately eligible to play and do not have to set out a year.  At least for now.  The NCAA will revisit the rule after a preliminary hearing on the injunction sought by the school up north in 14 days.  The NCAA and college athletics generally are a disorganized mess.
