  • On grandstand side (all reserves) there are only 10 single season tickets left in main grandstand (no two together). In the new reserve section (section 100) on grandstand side, which has 270 additional tickets and is not connected to main grandstand, there are 126 seats left. There is still season ticket availability on GA side.

    - The schedule has 16 matches with eleven being at home plus exhibition game vs Winthrop
    - 6 teams that went to NCAAs
    - 12 of 16 finished in top 100 RPI, including all but one of the non-conf matches

  • That's awesome news. Thanks. Heck, we got women's soccer season tix this year. Be interested to see how Rafa incorporates all the international kids into the mix.

Curious to see if women's basketball maintains some continuity in leading the conference.  I think we got another good coach.

  • Have to wonder if seating expansion at the VET is on the "immediate/near" to do list in terms of Athletic Capital projects at MU!!!

I believe Luckytoes or someone brought up the potential of putting same type of grandstand on other side of stadium. If doable that may be a possibility now that Grassie has inked his new deal.  I think we have a new score/videoboard coming this fall?? Eventual grass field may also be in play but I would expect them to wait until the existing turf has reached it's usefulness and they would have to have the practice field in place so the team has a place to practice during a new grass project. The increased attendance (2,198 PG) despite the increase in ticket cost and Big Green requirements has to be seen as encouraging.....although having unbelievably good weather, a top ranked team, and 5 postseason home matches surely helped.

The women's team attendance was 817 pg last year despite their continuing struggles. That ranked #52 nationally and not far behind WVU's 860 pg with a well established program. The 817 is by far tops in SBC with Appy State being 2nd at 358. It would also rank #48 nationally and #5 in SBC in men's attendance. If they can get near top of SBC standings and schedule better (WVU etc) as a result the women's attendance could be top 25 nationally out of 349 D1 teams (Men have 213 teams in D1). #25 last year was Oklahoma St at 1,135 pg.

The new scoreboard is coming along nicely. Will be a nice improvement for the Vet.

It's in the corner facing section 104 on the standing room only side. It's already basically up and it looks great! A much needed addition.

The way they have positioned it, will make it easier to see when the sun sets in the west. I assume they will tear down the old scoreboard.

After a grass pitch is in place, a separate permanent practice facility would also have to be ready. There's no way that a match ready pitch can be maintained in this climate with two teams' matches and practices are all on a grass surface.

That was my concern.  The sun sets directly behind the west goal - I know that there wasn't an option to spin the stadium, but geez that's a real issue if you're looking into the sun as it sets.

Since the new board is situated on the NW corner of the stadium, it won't help with the eastern GK's vision at all.
The sun sets pretty much directly behind the west goal at 9/20 and then sets further south as autumn proceeds.
